On June 11-12, 2024, Aimuldan, a ritual holiday of the indigenous minorities of the North of Srednekolymsky district of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia), was held as part of the Even festival “Evinek”. Aimuldan was held in honor of the 70th anniversary of the Bereyozovsky national (nomadic) settlement of the Srednekolymsky district of Yakutia, and was also dedicated to the Year of the Family in Russia and the Year of Childhood in Yakutia. The festival was attended by Evens, Evenks, Yukaghirs, Dolgans, Chukchi and guests from the districts and the city.
Indigenous minorities of the North revealed their talents to the public in all their glory. Talented participants performed songs of their own composition and folk songs in the throat singing style. In the traditional style, the ensembles performed unique northern dances, delighting the audience. Among children there was a contest of reading poems in their native language, children demonstrated their mastery of their native language, leaving hope for the future of their people. Also the residents of Beryozovka settlement presented a performance of historical character on the theme of the arrival of Russians and friendship between the two peoples, secured by a traditional round dance haedje. Among the contests were traditional games of the peoples of the North, where there were spear and lariat throwing, jumping over sleds, archery and pneumatic gun shooting.
