Kets

Kets (self-designation keto, ket - "man", in plural deng - "people", "folk"; at the past the ethnonyms Ostyaks, Yenisei Ostyaks, Yeniseians were used) - small indigenous people of Siberia, living in the north of Krasnoyarsk territory. They speak in Ket language, which related to the group of Yenisei languages. They are widely populated in the lower reaches of the river Yenisei. Most of the kets are living in Turukhansky district of Krasnoyarsk territory, settling in compact groups along the tributaries of the Yenisei Yeloguyu, Surgutikha, Pakulikha, Kureika. The Podkamennotungus group settles on the territory of the Evenki autonomous area. Thus, the ethnic territory of the Kets in the Yenisei basin stretches from south to north for more than 1,500 km.

By the 2002 census, the population was 1494 people.Mostly they are living in rural areas of three districts of Krasnoyarsk territory (1189 people): in Turukhansky district (866 kets in villages of Kellog, Turukhansk, Surgutikha, Maduyka and others), in Evenkiysky district (211 kets in village of Sulomay and others) and in Eniseysky district (village of Sym). In villages of Kellog, Sulomay and Maduyka most of the population are the Kets. In the early 2000s, several dozen representatives of the ethnic group lived in the city of Krasnoyarsk.

Родилась 1 декабря 1930 г. в Москве в семье Быкова Алексея Мелентьевича и Мишиной Марии Ивановны. Отец работал главным бухгалтером Московско-Рязанской железной дороги, а мать - заведующей отделом кадров Биохимической лаборатории при Мавзолее В.И. Ленина.
