IV Congress of Reindeer Herders of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia)
On March 20, 2025, a festive day was held in the city of Yakutsk as part of the IV Congress of reindeer herders of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia). Participants from 17 disttricts of the republic organized a holiday for residents and guests of the city on Lake Saisary: sports competitions of reindeer herders, an exhibition-fair of northern craftsmen, a concert steeped in their native language and culture, chums, a presentation of the activities of nomadic families and tribal communities.
We have prepared a video report and photos from the holiday, and we also managed to get a short interview with reindeer herders.
